After the fall of socialism, Bulgaria radically turned its back on its recent past. As a consequence, numerous pieces of architecture and monuments from that era are now abandoned and falling apart in public spaces across the country. They are stuck, in limbo - between the ignorance of people, the desire to forget what this architecture represented, the curiosity of newcomers, the destructive forces of nature. But is this desired amnesia helping us to move forward? Can we disclose the potential value of these pieces of architecture? The series of objects is based on architectural elements of the monuments. By rearranging the parts the monuments can be recreated or new scenarios can be imagined, triggering a dialogue about the destiny of this heritage.
